WSA Voter Education Project
WSA is leading a special early learning voter education project for the 2016 election in partnership with Every Child Matters. We are deploying moms and dads across the greater Puget Sound area to educate potential voters about the issues impacting families with young children and to register folks to vote. This is a non-partisan and non-political effort—meaning that our voter education outreach workers will not take positions on specific candidates and will not be encouraging anyone to vote Republican or Democrat. We are also not selling anyone anything or asking for any money or financial contribution!
We have asked our voter education workers to travel to Head Start, child care, preschool programs, community fairs, libraries and other local establishments seeking out potential voters. Every voter education worker will have voter registration materials and some educational handouts that provide some information about issues impacting children. Hopefully, you will find them to be a great resources for your local community.
If you have an event coming up and would like an Early Learning Voter Educator to come and set up a table or do a short presentation, please contact us!
Is YOUR registration up to date? Here in Washington we have a 100% vote-by-mail system, so if you didn’t get a ballot in August, you might want to check! Click here to confirm that you’re ready to Vote for Kids in November.
